Design / Build

Public Health Nursing Clinic — Bethel, Alaska,  2002 - 2003

This 14,000 square foot structure was built on 69 driven steel pilings. The main building has wood framed exterior and interior weight bearing walls, with steel stud non-bearing walls utilized for the examination rooms. The mechanical room is located in the roof structure, freeing up all of the main floor area for the building’s primary purpose, caring for individuals with health issues. This reduced the overall building footprint and consequently the cost of construction. The project was completed ahead of schedule and within budget.
